Who's who?

Is this the same baby? The 1st and 3rd pictures are Gatlin. The other 2 are Javin. Any resemblance? Gatlin has a darker complexion than Javin and more hair but they look like twins! I guess there will be no question that they are brothers!

Day 2--So Far a Success!

Well, we made it through the first night at home without any big problems! The little guy slept for almost 5 hours...not too shabby! He's got a big appetite and during the day eats 1 1/2 - 2 oz every 3-3 1/2 hours. Javin is in love with babe-babe or Gat-gat! He didn't want to go to sleep last night cause he was concerned that the babe-babe wasn't going to be here when he got up! Cute, right! I'm sure that will wear off and he will be bidding him farewell! Jav wants to help with everything and thinks it's great when Gat-Gat is stinky! He thinks he should always be stinky so he has to have his diaper changed! So funny! So far he has been very gentle and really good with him! I'm sure disaster will strike when it's no longer 2 on 2!

Mom is doing great! We all got up and went to the park this morning! Thank heavens for fast labor and delivery! What a great blessing! Enjoy the pictures! We will keep them coming!

Home Sweet Home

We are excited to be home as a family of four! Quick summary of yesterday's events:
Broke water 845 am.
Gatlin comes 1052 am.

6 lbs 14 oz. 19 1/2 inches long.

Lots (by our family standards) of dark hair!

Looks just like Javin!

Mom and baby feel great! Better pictures soon!

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow...

Tomorrow is D-Day! YEAH! This mom is in much anticipation and relief that as of tomorrow I will no longer have to get down on my hands and knees to pick something up off the floor! I will be able to see my toes just by looking down...no extra movements necessary! I will be able to wear normal clothes, clothes with zippers and buttons, not just elastic! Javin will be able to sit on my lap and not have to do a back bend! I will be able to sleep on my stomach without a kid kicking me cause I'm squishing him! I will be able to begin feeling like a normal, sleep-deprived human being! I will join the ranks of mothers with too much stuff and not enough hands! Not sure why we don't have 8 arms like an octopus cause it sure would come in handy! I'm ready for the next stage...not necessarily anxiously awaiting sleepless nights and what is sure to be a jealous Javin, but ready not to have this big buddha belly!

We are anxious to meet this little fellow and see what his personality is going to add to our crazy, cooky little family! We are excited to see what he looks like and just how tiny he is (the doctor thinks he's going to be teeny-tiny)! We are excited for the new addition! Me and my guys!

Tomorrow 730 AM I am checking in to the hospital. They don't think it's going to take too long since my delivery with Jav went so fast! I suspect he will be here easily before 11 or 12! I'm sure it will be a couple days before any pictures are posted here because Brandon has no idea how to even look at this blog! As soon as I'm up to it..I will post again! I will try to make it sooner than later so keep your eyes peeled!

Smile Pretty

Javin hates to have us brush his teeth, so after brushing Brandon held Jav in front of the mirror and told him to smile pretty! Here's the result!

Any day now!

I went in for a check-up today and was told that I could have this little guy any day now! YEAH! The doctor said I will definately have him early, just like Javin! This is a relief as my pelvis bones and cartilage are inflamed and I am in a lot of pain! The only treatment:delivery! We are praying that he comes asap! We will keep you posted!

Gat-Gat and Gas!

Today I was bouncing Javin on my knees and I bounced him off! He ask for more bounce with mama and Gat-Gat (Gatlin)!

Yesterday we were going downstairs and he saw the double stroller and he got excited and pointed and said, "Gat-Gat!"

The other day Jav passed gas and I ask him, "What was that?" He smiled and said, "Dada!"

Everyday Javin gives Gat-Gat kisses without any encouragement! He's going to be a great big brother!

When I put Javin down for a nap he climbs out of his crib, wiggles the door handle, opens dresser drawers, then climbs back into his crib, fusses and goes to sleep! At least he gets back in his crib to sleep and he doesn't pull stuff out of the drawers, just opens them! He never climbs out when he wakes up either!

HAP-PEE Day!

Last week Javin came and told me he needed to go pee-pee. So we put him on the potty and he got nervous and wanted to get down. Then he went to his bedroom to get a diaper and pee'd on the floor! At least he knew he needed to go though!

So last night while we were cleaning up dinner Javin told us he needed to go pee-pee and wanted to go on the potty! So we put him on the potty and he was super nervous but with lots of cheering and promises of a treat he pee'd in the potty for the first time! We were so proud! And because we were so proud...he was so proud! Every time we ask him if he pee'd in the big boy potty he smiles and claps!

Let me remind you all that he is only 19 months old! We are not pressuring him but glad that he is choosing to go potty! The sooner the better!

Insanity Sewing

All sewing is insane to me! Anyone who knows me, knows that the word "sew" is as bad as a four-letter word! It doesn't bring out my best qualities, to say the least! Well, pregnancy does crazy things to people and since I wanted to do something special for Jav before little brother comes, I decided to make him a toddler bed sized blanket and matching mini-blankie (and yes, it's supposed to be frayed)! He is obsessed with blankets and tra-tra's (tractors) so this was my special project! As long as nobody looks to closely, it turned out alright! He loves it...that's the most important thing...well, that and that so far it's staying together (let's keep our fingers crossed)!
Disclaimer: Just because I sewed this blanket does not now, nor will it ever, mean that I will do lots of sewing projects or that I even remotely like doing it!
