Javin Tidbits

I thought I would share some of the little man's quirks, funnies, and favorites!

Javin is great at prayer time. He folds his hands (holds one wrist with his opposite hand) and stands around and looks at everyone while the prayer is being said. Then he says, "amen" and claps! (We clap after prayer when he was quiet so that he will want to be good)! It's working!

Apparently the street we live on is way to busy because no matter where he is in the house, when he hears a bus he points, and says "bus!"

We can here the trains from our house and he always stops, holds his hand to his ear, says "chug, chug" in a whisper while doing the train motions!

He loves to go bye-bye. All day long he asks to go bye-bye even if we just got home 5 minutes previous. He even signs "more" and then says bye-bye! Smart little stink!

He is in love with any and all vacuum cleaners. He prefers them to be on and coming at him, but will take them in any way that he can get them!

He loves to cook! If I am in the kitchen for a glass of water, he thinks we are going to be cooking something. I bought him a pan at the dollar store. He carried it through the parking lot to the car, got upset when I took it away to put him in the car seat, and held it in the shopping cart at the grocery store! It looked like it was super-glued to his hands!

He loves to run. In fact, he runs everywhere, all the time. He likes to run as fast as he can into things (ie the couch) and everytime it knocks him flat on his back and he laughs!

He likes to play "timber." He climbs onto the armrest of the couch, we say timber, he smiles and belly flops onto the couch! He's got really good balance.

He believes that any sloping surface is a slide. He tried to slide down a mini-golf hole. He tries to slide down chairs that are sloped. All stairs are slides!

He is a daredevil! He goes to the tallest, curviest slide at the playground and refuses to go down any way but head first! Laughing the entire time, even when his head ricochets off the slide.

He loves the water. He loves it to be pouring over his head. He showers with us every morning and baths every night. The other morning he kept putting one of his toys in front of his private parts and then would take it away, wave and say "hi"!

He loves the toilet! We already have one of those seats that goes on a regular toilet that he sits on before he baths! He loves to flush the toilet, then he lifts the lid, waves, and says "bye-bye!"

More to come! He is always coming up with something new and hilarious!

Mini-Golf

Today we went mini-golfing with Gabe, Aleana, Brody, Deegan, and our cousin, Jake from Georgia! We got there right when it opened so we had the entire course to ourselves for about 45 minutes. Javin and Brody had so much fun! Javin thought that the hills on the holes were slides! Shilo even got 2 holes-in-one. It was so nice to get out of the house and do something! We are all so antsy for nice spring weather! After golf, Brandon and Jake raced Gabe and Brody in the go-karts! Let's just say, two grown men in the same go-kart makes for slow going! Javin wanted to ride so badly but he was just too small still! Javin also played skee-ball! He preferred to climb to the top of the ramp! It was a great morning! Lots of fun for us all!

Spilt Sugar

Earlier this month I gave Javin a bottle with cinnamon and sugar and told him to put the lid on! I turned my back for 2 seconds and this video is the result of me thinking a 15-month-old would actually do what I ask! I got just what I deserved!

My 1/2 guy!

I'm sure anyone who looks at this knows why it's 2 1/2 guys and a gal! We are expecting boy #2 in late July or early August! As of yet...we have no name! He is measuring 1 week big. At his ultrasound his head was 2 inches in diameter and he weighed about 11 oz. Crazy that being that small I can feel him wiggle and kick so much! We are so excited for another boy! This is definately a boy house! Heaven knows I have no desire to do my own hair, let alone a little girls! The Lord knows what he's doing!

Crib Climbing

Today Javin was happily playing in his room, so being the good mom that I am, I ignored what he was doing in order to enjoy a little peace. After awhile he started whining, his frustrated whine, and I went in to find out what was wrong and the little climber had climbed into his crib! That's right, the kid who hates sleep (and is screaming this very moment because he doesn't want to be in his crib napping), climbed right in and was proud as proud! He just looked up at me and smiled when I walked in! He couldn't get back out though and that was frustrating! I can only hope he doesn't figure that out anytime soon!
